Stradomer^TM-coated Device Platform

The stradomer^TM-coated device platform was built from the observations that IVIG is both anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative and that stradomers^TM tested ex vivo are even more active when coated than soluble stradomers. Proof of principle was obtained in an animal study of stradomer^TM-coated sutures. Coated sutures greatly decrease the normal inflammatory and proliferative response seen with an implanted device. The stradomer^TM coating has potential use to protect any implanted device in which the body's normal response diminishes the activity of the device. This technology is available for licensing by device companies at this time.
